I don't think you need to be happy about it. Nor do you have to assume they lost their memories. You don't know that for certain.

Even if they did, they would still be Rue.

Did you know that apparently living a few years in the fae realm makes you effectively immortal?

Knowing them, even if they lost their memories, they would likely adopt you a second time. And with immortality, you have plenty of time to organize a visit.
