[Sometime in the night, a basket ends up on the doorstep. It is a box of beautiful Christmas cookies, iced and brushed in gold leaf, to look like perfect little ornaments. Attached is a card:]

[At some point, a package shows up on Power's doorstep. Once she opens it she'll find one of those disposable cooler-type situations, packed in with insulation to keep the contents cold. Nestled within the cooler, surrounded by cold packs, is the smallest vial (about pinkie-finger sized) of dark red blood.

A note tied to the vial reads, This is all you're ever getting. -D

Is it a stupid idea? Probably. Did Donnie think about that when he drew and packed up his own blood to give to Power? Barely even a second.]

[ oh man, Power is just instantly going to slam this vial back like a can of mountain dew! And a few minutes later, he'll get a text in response: ]

Human, turtle, some other chemicals and whatnot in there

Do me a favor and tell me if you notice yourself gaining any animal traits akin to a turtle's, I want to see how my hypothesis holds up

I was in a coma because I am insanely impressive and capable

But now they'll all angry with me even though I had a failsafe message sent out since I wasn't sure how long it would be and I EXPRESSLY told them not to be mean

[ the problem here is that Power has all the empathetic capacity of a wet rock, so if Donnie is expecting sympathy, he's come to the wrong person. She has been getting better - she briefly tries to imagine the situation reversed, with Denji in a coma, and herself and Aki on the sidelines - but it doesn't last long. ]

perhaps they thought you dead. people don't usually wake up from comas.

for that matter, how were they meant to have a sandwich ready if they didn't know you would awaken??

I already told them I was dead and

I will admit that without a timeline the sandwich could have been difficult to prepare

They didn't draw on me but they did kidnap me and propped my body up everywhere at the expo and put various accoutrements on me for photo ops

so you weren't dead but you knew you'd be unconscious for a month? were they given warning or did they have reason to suspect you were dead?

either way that is an EXCELLENT use of a body

I set up a failsafe message!! When I didn't wake up and deactivate it after 24 hours, it went out to everyone letting them know I was in a coma and that I'd tested this before and that I would be PERFECTLY FINE. Now they're all mad at me

Why would they think I was dead!!! I LITERALLY told them I would be fine and that I would wake up at some point

if Denji had endangered himself in the same way, I would have waited by his bedside if only so I could punch him in the face as soon as he woke up

I said I'd be fine and I was fine and I woke up fine and it's NOT FAIR to be angry at me when everything turned out just as fine as I said it would
